“You will obey the Hypnotoad”
Megan found this cool guy in our yard.

I’ve been busy so today’s photo was taken inside.
We have my grandparents old Mexican puppets all lined up on one side of the fireplace. Occasionally they get pulled down but that has been a while — and really happens infrequently as they aren’t really toys so much as antiques. We have three “mariachi” puppets each holding their instrument, one mariachi/dancing girl, and one random witch with broomstick and one Abe Lincoln (that is a lost school puppet project that has been pinned on the wall).

It’s hard to believe it is fall already. I still feel like it was just yesterday that we were shoveling our way out to the cars through three feet of snow. — I suppose in North Dakota it IS possible that could be the case but thankfully no snow yet.
The cold isn’t good as I haven’t gotten any red tomatoes out of my garden — just green ones. I’m not holding out much hope this late in the season.

Volleyball is really hard to photograph. When setting up I have no idea where to take a photo. At least with most other sports I can follow the guy WITH the ball. If I happen to get an action shot with Volleyball it’s probably by accident. Unfortunately, Christine (in the middle), until I figure out this game a little more you’re going to have a lot of “action” shots of you high five-ing and standing around.

We had the both of the Both’s over from down the road for an evening bonfire in the back. Jupiter also joined in as did the brightest moon I have ever seen. Extra crispy marshmallows were eaten as a very dangerous high altitude tree top game of night tag was played. Night tag, as the name hints at, is played in the dark with only natural lighting. Ryan learned a valuable lesson. When playing night tag it is smart to turn off your phone as it is a dead give away to your location. Of course, in Ryan’s case, being perched at the top of a 25 foot tree in the dark probably meant that the ringing cell phone did little to actually inhibit his victory in the game.

Bridget had an invite to the University’s Wellness Center for their family night. Seeing as our official “parents” were busy I took her, acting as her responsible slash-guardian (the form said that children had to be accompanied by parents/guardians). I kind of like the term “Slash Guardian” as it sounds very comic book super heroish…..
The Wellness Center Family night was very athletic — full of of running, climbing, and zumba-ing (I made that word up — which is kind of embarrassing — but not as embarrassing as Zumba-ing
).

The nice thing about my photo of the day project is that I’ve really expanded into new territory with my camera (so much new territory that I’m worried I have damaged it again… thank goodness for my coverage!) Tonight we initially went out to spy on Jupiter but instead just focused in on the moon. It seems so close sometimes.
